I HATE SPORTS!!

This is not baby related, but she might as well get used to listening to me talk about sports, so here we go. Let's summarize some of the super sweet things that have happened in my world of sports in the last several months.

1) After an unbelievable win agains Texas, the Aggies embarrass ourselves against Cal in bowl game.
2) Aggies somehow blow a Sweet 16 home game against Louisville in the NCAA tourny.
3) Gillispie lies, signs with Kentucky and is now my sworn nemesis.
4) The Mavs embarass themselves in game one against Golden State and will surely lose in 6.
5) My favorite webpage for which I spend 90% of the my computing time on (Aggie Websider) dissolved this week.
6) Fran teases me by jumping out to a great start in football recruiting, only to lose 4 commits in the last week.
7) The once promising Aggie baseball team has started losing after much hub-bub about hosting a regional/super-regional a month ago....and guess who is ranked #1.....Texas! It tastes good!!
8) The Rangers are going to lose 100 games this year.
9) I'm going to go out on a limb for this one and say that the Cowboys will surely screw up the NFL draft this weekend. Given the theme of my sports world the last 6 months, it is the only way this could possibly turn out.
10) And last, but certainly not least....In the most recent kick to my proverbial sports-groin, the Stars drop two home games to go down 3-1. Then they win 2 games to force an unbelievable game 7 on the heels of back-to-back shut-outs by Marty Turco. They bring me back into the bandwagon think that maybe, just maybe they're going to make a run.....ONLY TO LOSE GAME 7!!! I would have rather they just lost 4 games straight by an average score of 20-0.

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!

I hate sports.

Ah, welcome baby girl to the bipolar world of your dad (in relation to sports anyway). One minute he will be on top of the world, making plans to go watch the Ags in some national championship across the country, the next he will be cursing the coach, the players, the athletic director, even the Slovachek sausage vendor if he's around. It's best we just keep our mouths shut and not be swayed either way. And here's a tip - ask him for whatever you need in either one of these manic highs or lows. In the high he will be so excited nothing else matters, in the low he will be so fed up he won't even listen to what you're asking for. Works every time.
