What a difference a day makes. Jason called me this afternoon and let me know that Lili is indeed pregnant. They took three different tests this morning and all three came back positive! It was very hard to listen to him try and hold back his excitement as he told me the news (because he thinks Summer and I are still trying), but it's for the best for the next few weeks. I know how much he wants both Lili and Summer to be pregnant at the same time and our kids to grow up together, so that definitely made it tough not to tell him today. I can't wait for the next few weeks to pass so we can spread the word!

Rannebarger
I got a voicemail from Big Jason this morning, as he was driving in to work. He and his wife Lili are trying for their second kid. They were lucky the first time as Lili got pregnant within 2 months with Mia, which led Jason to believe that this was the traditional time-line (the books say more like an average of 6 months). In Jason's voicemail, he mentioned that he had a dream last night that I was holding his new baby boy. He had a similar dream the night before Lili took the pregnancy test the first time that showed she was pregnant with Mia. Needless to say he was disappointed when the test was negative this morning, but maybe that dream was meant for Summer and I!
Just a good story that I wanted to write-down here for when we open up this blog to our friends.

Conundrum
As BK and Amanda can attest to, I have a problem in that one of the funniest things possible to me is to be within ear-shot of someone vomiting. As a kid, I used to have tears rolling down my face as I listened to Amanda yacking in the bathroom. I think this predominantly comes from growing up around Amanda because she was very "ninja" when she needed to vomit. You never knew when and you had NO warning. In fact, one of the funniest memories I have is my dad running towards the bathroom door of our old house on Creekwood Drive, holding my sister like a big log. Right as he was getting close to the door, she projectile vomits all over the dividing wall column between the bathroom and her room and my dad yells "NOO!". BK and I are standing in our door-way watching all of this. The moment she blows, we both run and dive onto our bunk beds, crying laughing.
So, is it wrong that I will more than likely laugh the first time I hear Summer getting sick with morning sickness? There really is no way around it because it's almost an instinct for me to laugh!

I'm a liar!!
I went to lunch yesterday with Courtney who asked me point blank if we were trying to have kids. I had to just look away and say "We'll see." Then today my friend Chelsea went into a diatribe about how now is the time in our lives when we can do whatever we want because we don't have kids. "I mean, can you imagine? You have to be so responsible once you have kids. Thank goodness that's far off." "Mmmmhmmm," I mumbled. It's hard to keep it a secret when I just want to tell everyone, but it's for the best that we wait awhile. But boy is it killing me!!

Big News #2!
After many years of donating application and exam fees to the state of Texas, and study course fees to the likes of Becker Conviser, BISK and CPAExcel (thanks mom and dad!)...I am finally a licensed accountant with the state of Texas.
Given this information, the previous post and the win over t.u. in November, I can easily say this has been an unforgettable 4 weeks....and yes, this is all in light of the turd my Aggies just laid against Cal in the Holiday Bowl.

Big News!
On December 14th, Summer and I found out she is 6 weeks pregnant with our first child. Telling the family on Christmas day was without question the greastest experience of my life and I can't wait to tell all of our friends. Buddy and Chunk were only mildly disappointed when we broke the news that the new addition was NOT another pooch. We will go back to the doctor on January 8th to hear the heart beat for the very first time!
Please continue to pray for a healthy baby and healthy mom.
We love you all,
Scott
