Could this week go ANY slower?!?!
We are SO excited about Monday, both to find out the sex and to just see the little bean again. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much though because I've heard too many stories about modest beans who have their legs closed. From the way he's been jumping around after lunch though, I don't think we have too much to worry about. Our appointment is at 1pm and anytime after I eat he seems to be the most active, so hopefully it will work out perfectly.

Week 19
One week from tomorrow and we'll know if we've got a little baby Cooter or Cooterette (per Wade's favorite name choice) on our hands. Summer and I are very excited to finally find out. What makes it even worse is knowing that we could go to the friggin' mall today and find out via the 4D ultrasounds. Oh well, good things come to those who wait. Summer is feeling good, other than getting used to her ever growing belly. She is still working out regularly, but has transitioned from running to long walks (Which are good b/c this means I can finally keep up with her!). She's also doing light yoga once a week and the instructor even has a special pregnancy regimen he makes her do in place of stretches that could be harmful to the baby. Her food cravings have transitioned slightly from only Whoppers to burgers in general. BBQ and chocolate are still out. We've recently purchased the aforementioned fully body pillow. Luckily, she was able to disregard the $150 guy on the internet and go for the more reasonably priced $10 one at Bed Bath & Beyond. This has really helped decrease some of her back pain and I would highly recommend it for any of you who have issues with your back (Again, looking right at you, Mr. Koenig). This weekend, Summer loaded up on some more maternity clothes and we indulged ourselves and bought some little things for the baby. I expect this to pick up incrementally after we find out what it is next week.

Girl or Boy?
The debate ranges on. The Chinese Lunar calendar says it's a boy. Summer has received feedback from a wide-array of sources on the subject and the majority rule is that it's going to be a boy. Amanda, Summer's hair-stylist, Heather, Jim and Aunt Rhonda all think it's a boy and a lady named Brenda at Summer's work thinks it's a girl. Aunt Rhonda was the latest to chime in with her thoughts, as her oldest daughter found out today that their second child is a girl (she's due 1 day before Summer is). Shortly after receiving the news today, Rhonda sent me the following text, "I was right. Joanna just called and its a girl. So Scott and Summer will have a boy because Aunt Rhonda said so".
I don't know how much more authoritative you can get then that!

Week 18 and Aggies in the Sweet 16
Let the record show that the baby's first concert was the Toadies! It was also able to witness, via Blackberry ESPN.com auto-fresh, a strong performance by the Ags over Louisville to get us into the Sweet 16. All in all, given the 20 point blow out loss for the horns a few minutes ago, a pretty great weekend.

Week 17 & First Movement!
Apparently, our little bundle of joy is a big fan of Wendy's (the baby's taking a page our of your book, Mr. Koenig)! For those of you who don't know, Summer and I went to Lake Tahoe with some friends over March 8-12. After a long day of flying on the 8th, we all stopped in at Wendy's and picked up some lunch. On the drive in to our cabin, Summer felt the baby move for the first time! She had thought she had a similar feeling a few days prior, but this one was a no-doubter and was the first time she told me, as well. She has subsequently felt the baby move several times, which is very exciting!!! I can't wait to feel it move, myself.

Week 16
Well, we had another good check-up on monday morning, as we heard a strong heart-beat. Also, we set the date for the next appointment. Set your calendars, because at 9am on April 4th, we'll know the sex of the baby!!! Summer and I are very excited, as we will finally be able to start the naming process. Considering the names of my dogs, Chunk and Buddy, I'm going to need all the time I can get to come up with a good name!!
