Julie Rannebarger is here!

Jason and Lili got a nice surprise early this morning. Yesterday, they had a routine doctor's appointment where they went ahead and scheduled their inducement date for July 19th, at their doctor's instruction. Throughout the pregnancy, the doctor has moved Lili's due date up and back by a few weeks in an attempt to determine how far along she was. By the doctor's calculation, July 19th would have put Lili at 39 weeks; however it appears her calculation was a little off. Jason called me at 5:30 this morning to tell me the baby was born and had just been taken to the nursery! Given that Julie was almost 7 pounds and 20 inches long, the doctor said there's no way Lili was 34 weeks at this point (which is where she would be today, if the July 19th date was correct).

Apparently, Lili's water broke around 1:15am. After having to slap Jason awake, they quickly called Jason's dad (John) to come out to their house (in Wylie) to watch Mia. During the 45 minutes it took John to get to Wylie, Jason "packed everything he owns" as he put it. By the time John got to the house, the contractions were 2 minutes apart. So, Jason put Lili in the car and started on the 40 minute drive to the hospital. Along the way, Jason mentioned he hit 90 mph somewhere down I-75. When they got to the hospital, it only took about an hour and half and 5-6 pushes and the baby was here. Julie has a little bit of fluid in her lungs and is currently in the NICU, but should be fine.

A big congratulations to the Rannebargers!!
