Catch up post & Happy Father's Day!

It's been a few weeks since we posted, so this is going to be a long one! The weekend after Memorial Day my parents came up and we went to the new Aquatic Center and showed them how much Kaitlin loves it. Here are some pics:

The following week we had the infant playgroup at our house, but only Thomas was able to come. He enjoyed her toybox, although she doesn't look too sure about sharing.

While she enjoys Thomas' company, once he left she got back to playing with her best friend:

This weekend we went to Houston for a wedding and also to celebrate Father's Day. Some of us had a better time than others.

"Ah, this is better. I've got a few emails I wanted to get out today."

Nana and Pop got Kaitlin a bunch of new toys for their house.

"Don't even THINK about touching my new drum set!"

Then Maya, Sapna and Heather came over for a visit. Kaitlin had a wonderful time terrorizing poor Maya with her screams of excitement. We told her if she wants to make friends, she needs to play it cool. She did not heed our advice.

Maya says "GET ME OUTTA HERE!!"

After a long day of wedding festivities, Kaitlin was ready to let loose for a while. She was like a little madwoman crawling back and forth between her toys in the living room and the kitchen, where she loves to hear her voice echo.

Today we had a nice breakfast at home and opened Father's Day cards and presents. We got my Dad a power washer, which is also his birthday present from my brother, mom and I. Scott got a pocket knife and a grilling book. Then we drove back to Dallas after a Father's Day lunch at Los Generales, a delicious Mexican place by my parent's house. We tried to go to Rudy's, but it was packed as usual so poor Dad (Scott) did not get his Father's Day wish. Maybe next time we're in town we can make it in there. When we got back, Kaitlin helped her Dad finish off some childproofing in the kitchen.

All in all it's been a fun couple weeks with lots of visits with Nana and Pop! We're looking forward to a quiet week and a half and then it's off to Mexico for us and Kaitlin's first extended stay with Nannie and Papa!

Great pictures! My favorite is the one of her crying on the floor in her "Year of the Pig" onesie. Awesome.

All I did was turn around and walk to the kitchen to grab something and she exploded. Apparently, Bud has already taught her that turning your back on someone is a slight!
